1. Board Meetings and planning meetings are open to
everyone and members are strongly encouraged to attend.
2. Annual dues are $20 per year, $30 per year for family membership. Send checks made out to "Mosaic" to P.O. Box 520094, Longwood, FL. 32752-0094.
3. Due to liability issues and because many events take place at state parks, Mosaic will not purchase alcoholic beverages for events. If an event takes place at a restaurant/bar, participants may purchase adult beverages. Remember don't drink and drive and when you drink, please drink responsibly.
4. In an attempt to encourage people to join Mosaic, there will be a non-member fee for each event of $2 on top of the event fee (including events with no charges). Non-members may attend as many events as often as they like. Please understand that an administrative charge is included in the price of every event. This helps defray the costs involved in running the organization.
5. Anyone who wants a newsletter or E-News should write to us at CentralFlorida and let us know.
6. RSVPs are often required so that there is enough food, canoes, tents etc… for everyone who attends. Visa-versa, when someone cancels or is a "no-show" , items already purchased or already arranged for still cost us money. Therefore, we require that you pay the event fee, even if you cancel, in order to pay for these items (Sorry!). The only exception: if you happen to cancel far ahead enough that items have not yet been purchased, you will not be required to pay the event fee.
7. Each of us have different lifestyles - Please use this guideline when calling a Mosaic board member or an event leader: Unless specified, only call between 10 AM and 10 PM (weekdays and weekends).
8. The group is most successful when we all volunteer in some way. Call one of our board members if you would like to volunteer in ANY way or would like to donate storage space, sports and camping equipment or make donations.
9. All events will begin 15 minutes after the meeting time, no exceptions. Please allow enough travel time to the meeting place or actual event. It is recommended that you RSVP for events so that you can be notified in the event an activity is changed or cancelled due to weather or some other uncontrollable circumstance.
